DOCTOR BERNARD HAYOT: AESTHETIC MEDICINE AND SURGERY (Dr Hayot)
Being a surgeon was a childhood dream. I don’t remember ever wanting to do anything else as a career. So logically I pursued this ambition throughout my education. During my studies in medicine, I quickly learnt I had a problem with death, and serious diseases like cancer. I also hated having to give bad news to patients.
My time spent in visceral surgery confirmed that this type of surgery was not for me, it was just too painful for me personally. So I sought another speciality, first trying gynaecology, then paediatric ophthalmology.
While practising ophthalmology, I started working on facial malformations, what we call oculoplasty, and became an ophthalmological plastic surgeon. It was in this context that I first started to use Anti Wrinkles Treatment; intuitively I understood it would be a revolution.
After a meeting with its inventor in the United States, Dr. Alastair Carruthers, I realised that aesthetic surgery was more suited to me, and that Anti Wrinkles Treatment would be my own personal revolution.
