Treating sunken circles

An under-eye circle is a visible trough that extends from the root of the nose to the cheekbone.

Under-eye circles are often the result of depleting levels of sub-cutaneous fat. This loss of volume only intensifies with age, significant weight loss or hormonal imbalance and can be due to psychological trauma. As the skin of the lower eyelid is extremely delicate, the bony contours of the eye socket appear to be too prominent.

A Word from Doctor Hayot

«I use micro-lipostructure technique to help rectify sunken eyes. Visible, dark circles can occur where fat has been lost and it is important to restore volume. During the operation, I re-inject the patient’s fat which has been harvested from elsewhere in the body.

I combine the under-eye lipostructure with cheekbone, upper eyelid or temple lipostructure which helps to restore natural volume. This works particularly well for patients with considerable fat loss.»

Advantages

  • The only treatment for under-eye circles that offers a permanent result,

  • The dark, coloured eye circle will have a blue, violet or brown tone.
  • The sunken eye circle combined with a pouch of fat creates an eye bag.
